"I chose to do my Internal Medicine Residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center for multiple reasons. During my audition rotation, I immediately felt as if I were a valued member of the medical team. Although I was only a fourth year medical student, I was given important responsibilities with regards to patient care, including having an active role in developing a differential diagnosis and coming up with a treatment plan, something I had not readily seen during my other audition rotations. The residents were warm and welcoming and the attendings valued my input and opinion. It was here that I began to truly feel as if I were meant to be a physician.

One of the things I truly respect and appreciate about Wellington Regional Medical Center is that it feels as if we are all part of one large family. In particular, the residents all get along and treat each other like brothers and sisters. We support one another and are always there to lend a helping hand, both inside and outside the hospital. In addition, the attendings and medical staff are readily accessible and approachable, regardless of the time of day. They have a passion for teaching and desire to help educate the next generation of clinicians."
