Comprehensive Women's Imaging Center Accredited in ACR Mammography Accredited FacilityMammography by the American College of Radiology

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous practice improvement.

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has recognized Wellington Regional for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain. The hospital was recently awarded Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI and Resuscitation based on a rigorous on-site evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

This certification is for Joint Commission-accredited hospitals, critical access hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers seeking to elevate the quality, consistency and safety of their services and patient care. Wellington Regional underwent a rigorous onsite review to evaluate the hospital’s compliance with disease-specific care standards and total hip and total knee replacement requirements, including orthopedic consultation, and pre-operative, intraoperative and post-surgical orthopedic surgeon follow-up care.

Wellington Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) through the American College of Surgeons (ACS). The accreditation process is a voluntary evaluation to identify that a bariatric surgical center is in accordance with national standards.

Healogics Center of Distinction for the Wound Care Center Healogics Center of Distinction 2022(2022)

Wellington Regional Medical Center’s Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine has been recognized as a Center of Distinction by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of 92 percent over the past year. There were more than 600 centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award.
