Program Overview
The education-oriented medicine program at Wellington Regional Medical Center focuses on training exceptional physicians in a supportive environment. The experienced faculty members who supervise residents are easily accessible and are highly skilled bedside teachers. Residents are exposed to a variety of medical cases spanning a diverse patient population.
Our training is designed to help residents develop their professional skills and clinical competencies, as well as gain a strong foundation of osteopathic knowledge in internal medicine. Our goal is to prepare residents for the independent practice of internal medicine, and also to instill an appreciation for the lifelong process critical to maintaining professional growth and competency.
